Which one fits

BrightLocal

Choose it if you want AI tracking inside a wider local search toolkit, with listings and reviews managed in the same place.

Its pricing page names ChatGPT and Google’s AIs only.

indextr

Choose it if you want to start free and stay free as long as you like, pay a flat price when you upgrade, and get recommendations that point to the AI answer each one came from.

Not the best fit if you need map-grid tracking of Google Maps positions, daily tracking, Grok, or many locations in one account.

Two kinds of tool

BrightLocal, Local Falcon and Local Dominator began as local search tools and added AI tracking. They suit a business or agency that already watches its Google Maps position and wants AI results alongside it.

Otterly, Peec AI, Rankscale and Profound were built to track brands for marketing teams and agencies, usually across many prompts. indextr was built for the business itself: you enter your website and the searches your customers make, and it tells you which AI engines name you, who they name instead, and what to change.
